With their cheerful red-breasts, spiritually the robin indicates tenacity and life and there are few birds that evoke such affection at that of the little robin red. Kerry envelopes her robins on a Christmas bauble, huddling together for comfort. We are reminded that these somewhat plump, little birds, capture our hearts more than any other bird, and have come to embody the spirit of Christmas. No other bird is as ever-present and embedded in our folklore and culture as the robin redbreast.
